Recently, The President of India granted the National Service Scheme (NSS) Awards for the year 2021-2022.
National Service Scheme Awards:
- It was founded in the year 1993-1994.
- Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports- Department of Youth Affairs is the custodian of this award. It oversees and nurtures NSS and its associated activities.
- The objective of the NSS Awards is to bestow recognition upon NSS student volunteers, NSS Programme Officers, and Programme Coordinators.
- This award exhibits outstanding dedication and commitment to community service of the volunteers.
- Another vital objective of these awards is to encourage Programme Officers and Programme Coordinators of NSS to align their efforts with the needs and aspirations of the National Service Scheme.
