Exercise Tiger Triumph – 24
Context:
Recently, Exercise Tiger Triumph, a military exercise between the United States and India that focuses on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) was conducted from 18 to 31 March 2024.

About Ex Tiger Triumph :
- It is a bilateral tri-service Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise between India and the USA.
- Indian Navy ships, including helicopters and landing crafts, along with Indian Navy aircraft, Indian Army personnel and vehicles, and Indian Air Force aircraft and helicopters, participated in the exercise.
- The US was represented by US Navy ships with US Marine Corps and US Army troops aboard.
- The primary goal of the exercise was to enhance interoperability for conducting Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations and to refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for smooth coordination between the forces of both countries.
- During the harbor phase, personnel from both navies engaged in Training Visits, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges, Sports Events, and Social interactions.
- Upon completion of the Harbor Phase, the ships, carrying troops, sailed for the Sea Phase to engage in Maritime, Amphibious, and HADR operations.
