The first edition of the India-Saudi Arabia Joint Military Exercise ‘SADA TANSEEQ’ concluded recently in Mahajan, Rajasthan.

Details:

  • Sada Tanseeq is the first joint military exercise between the Indian Army and the Royal Saudi Land Force.
  • It began in Mahajan, Rajasthan on January 29, 2024 and concluded on February 10, 2024. The exercise’s goal is to increase cooperation and interoperability between the two forces. It also aims to improve understanding of operational procedures under UN mandates.
  • The exercise’s activities include:
    • Mobile vehicle check posts
    • Cordon and search operations
    • House intervention drills
    • Reflex shooting
    • Slithering
    • Sniper firing
    • Heliborne operations
  • Its objective is to train troops from both nations for Joint Operations in semi-desert terrain, as outlined in Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.
  • This exercise will provide an opportunity for the exchange of best practices in tactics, techniques, and procedures for conducting operations in the sub-conventional domain.
  • Furthermore, it aims to enhance interoperability and foster camaraderie among troops from both sides.
