About:

  • The eSARAS mobile app plays a crucial role in empowering women entrepreneurs from SHGs. By providing them with a platform to market and sell their products, the app helps in boosting their financial independence and socio-economic status.
  • It enables SHGs to expand their market reach beyond local boundaries and tap into a wider customer base. This, in turn, leads to increased income generation, improved livelihoods, and overall economic growth in rural areas.
  • It leverages technology to bridge the gap between rural producers and urban consumers, fostering digital inclusion and connectivity. By embracing e-commerce initiatives, the app encourages the growth of online platforms for buying and selling SHG products, thereby creating a digital marketplace and promoting digital literacy among rural communities.
  • eSARAS supports the idea of sustainable livelihoods by promoting traditional and indigenous crafts, handloom products, organic produce, and other eco-friendly items made by SHGs.
