The Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) told Parliament that Aadhaar face authentication will help improve transparency, trust, and accountability in competitive exams.

What is Aadhaar Face Authentication?

Verifies identity by matching live facial image with the photo taken during Aadhaar enrolment.

Reduces failures caused by worn-out fingerprints, especially among labourers and the elderly.
