Other Highlights:

  • According to the report, European imports increased by 155% due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Especially, Ukraine’s imports grew 100 times, receiving 8.8% of global imports from the US, Germany, and Poland.
  • Russia’s exports dropped by 64% (now 7.8% of global share).
  • Qatar became the third-largest arms importer globally.
  • The report highlighted the global arms transfers to be stable compared to 2015-19 and 2010-14. The overall imports were 18% higher than 2005–09 due to increased demand in Europe and the Americas.
