Recently, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organised a program to honor student beneficiaries of PM YASASVI scheme.
- PM YASASVI was launched to empower students from OBC, EBC, and DNT communities educationally, socially, and economically.

About PM YASASVI:
- The main objective of the program is to empower students from OBC, EBC, and DNT communities and remove financial barriers in order to pursue education and achieve self-reliance.
- PM YASASVI consolidates the previous initiatives—Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric and Pre-Matric Scholarship Schemes.
- Benefits under the scheme:
- Pre-Matric Scholarship: Annual scholarship of ₹1.25 lakh for students from classes 9 to 12.
- Post-Matric Scholarship: Financial assistance worth ₹12.75 crore for college-level education.
- Top-Class School and College Education: Special support for high-quality education.
- Hostel Construction for OBC Students: Providing better residential facilities for students.
