Kashi Tamil Sangamam
Context:
The upcoming 17th of December 2023 marks the inauguration of the second edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam by the Prime Minister of India.

Main Details:
- The event’s second phase is scheduled from the 17th to the 30th of December in Kashi (Varanasi).
- Seven groups, representing Students (Ganga), Teachers (Yamuna), Spiritual (Saraswati), Farmers and Artisans (Narmada), Professionals (Godavari), Writers (Sindhu), and Traders and Businessmen (Kaveri), named after seven sacred rivers of India, will journey from Tamil Nadu to Kashi.
- This initiative, part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ aligns with the ethos of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ and seeks to rejuvenate the cultural bonds between Tamil Nadu and Varanasi.
- The inaugural phase of Kashi Tamil Sangam took place from the 19th of November 2022 to December 16, 2022. The Ministry of Education holds the pivotal role as the nodal agency orchestrating Kashi Tamil Sangamam.
