Recently, the Ministry of Ayush launched a film series on National AYUSH Mission (NAM)

  • The title of the film series is β€œAyush for All: Holistic Health Care through National Ayush Mission.”.

National AYUSH Mission (NAM)

  • It is a centrally sponsored scheme launched by the Ministry of Ayush in 2014.
  • It mainly focuses on educating and propagating India’s traditional medical systems: Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH).
  • Objective:
    • Enhancing access to Ayush services.
    • Encouraging the cultivation of medicinal plants integral to these systems.
    • Strengthening Ayush educational institutions.
    • Raising awareness about the advantages of Ayush practices.
  • Duration: Active until 2026.
  • Notable Achievements: Beneficiaries of Ayush services increased from 1.50 crore in 2020-21 to 8.42 crore in 2022-23 under NAM.
