National AYUSH Mission (NAM)
- It is a centrally sponsored scheme launched by the Ministry of Ayush in 2014.
- It mainly focuses on educating and propagating Indiaβs traditional medical systems: Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy (AYUSH).
- Objective:
- Enhancing access to Ayush services.
- Encouraging the cultivation of medicinal plants integral to these systems.
- Strengthening Ayush educational institutions.
- Raising awareness about the advantages of Ayush practices.
- Duration: Active until 2026.
