Mahalaxmi Temple Corridor Project: Heritage Conservation and Pilgrimage Development
Context
Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for the Pradakshina Marg and conservation works at the historic Mahalaxmi (Ambabai) Temple in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
The project is being implemented under the vision of “Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi” (Development as well as Heritage), which seeks to balance economic development with the preservation of India’s cultural and religious heritage.
