Global Diabetes Compact
Global Diabetes Compact was launched by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to boost the global response to diabetes. It was initiated while marking the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin.
This programme focuses on improving access to diagnostic tools and medicines to low and middle-income countries. It will set standards for combating diabetes in the form of “global coverage targets” for ensuring wider access to diabetes treatment.
