e-Sanjeevani platform

In order to mitigate the criticality of inadequate availability of specialised medical manpower, veteran defence doctors have come forward answering the call of the nation to provide free online consultation services on the e-Sanjeevani platform.


  • e-Sanjeevani OPD is a Govt of India flagship telemedicine platform, developed by the C-DAC, Mohali under the aegis of MoHFW, Govt of India. It facilitates free online medical consultation to all citizens of India, as well as provides for online prescription of medicines.
  • This eSanjeevani platform includes 2 types of telemedicine services: 
    1. Doctor-to-Doctor (eSanjeevani) and 
    2. Patient-to-Doctor (eSanjeevani OPD) Tele-consultations 
  • The former is being implemented under the Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre (AB-HWCs) programme. 
  • The telemedicine platform is hosting over 40 online OPDs, more than half of these are speciality OPDs which include Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Dermatology, ENT, Ophthalmology, antiretroviral therapy (ART) for the AIDS/HIV patients, Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) etc. 


National Jal Jeevan Mission Holds Webinar With Sector Partners

  • A webinar was organized by the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti with the Sector Partners selected for National Jal Jeevan Mission (NJJM). 

Jal Jeevan Mission

  • Jal Jeevan Mission is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water through individual household tap connections by 2024 to all households in rural India. 
  • The programme will also implement source sustainability measures as mandatory elements, such as recharge and reuse through greywater management, water conservation, rainwater harvesting. 
  • The Jal Jeevan Mission will be based on a community approach to water and will include extensive Information, Education and communication as a key component of the mission. 
  • JJM looks to create a Jan Andolan for water, thereby making it everyone’s priority.
  • The motto of Jal Jeevan Mission is “Building Partnership and Changing Lives”
